Iranian Scholars’ Contemporary Debate between Evolutionary Human Genesis and Readings of the Qur’an: Perspectives and Classification

While the science–religion debate on human creation has been widely explored in Muslim world, Iranian opinions have missed mainstream literature. To see whether they follow lead of majority thinkers or not, here is an overview Qur’anic Perspective Scholars. After reviewing previously categorized approaches Muslims encountering evolution mentioned literature, this paper will survey verses related to biological man with “scientific-lexical” method all possible states. Afterward, views most-cited scholars, such as Saḥābī, Ṭabāṭabā’ī, Muṭahharī, and Jawādī, be located within classification by citing reasons textual pieces evidence from their accounts that determine differences provided Muslims.
